Custom Professional Headshots

STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

Having a professional headshot is an important step in providing a potential employer or client with a positive first impression. Whether you are seeking a new job, promoting your business and brand, or updating your social media profile, a custom headshot that expresses your personality and professionalism will help you stand out from the others.

A pre-session consultation is highly encouraged and may be scheduled as a 15-minute phone call or Zoom meeting to discuss the style of headshot you are interested in and what to expect during the session. If you have a specific vision for your photos or if your company has headshot guidelines, this is a great opportunity to discuss how we can achieve those.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

  • Studio sessions include a choice of standard medium to dark grey, black or white backgrounds, with the option of adding textures or other colors in post processing upon request.

  • Professional editing and retouching to include subtle adjustments to remove stray hairs, reduce dark shadows under eyes, whitening teeth and removing blemishes.  If requested, further editing may be used to smooth wrinkles on skin, brighten eyes and reduce wrinkles on clothing.

  • A pre-session consultation as described above.

  • A fun and relaxed professional photography session using high quality cameras, lenses, lighting gear, backgrounds, and other accessories.

  • Studio sessions include a real time review of unedited images that are tethered directly from the camera to a computer monitor.

    • You may choose your wardrobe for the photo session, however I can provide suggestions based upon the style of headshot you are interested in.

    • I generally recommend clothing that is complimentary with your skin tones, hair and eye colors. Clothing should be clean and free of wrinkles (although some wrinkles may be removed in post processing). Avoid clothing with busy patterns or strong colors that would distract from your face.

    • Avoid wearing the same color as your preferred background.

    • If possible, avoid wearing glasses with transitional lenses or that reflect blue light, as these effects are difficult to remove in post processing.

    • Several days before the photo session, be sure to plan for the day. If you plan to have appointments with a hair stylist or makeup artist, try to allow extra time.

    • In the two days before the session, plan to get adequate rest and avoid activities that could result in sunburns, chapped lips, dry skin, or red eyes.

    • Get adequate sleep the night before the session to ensure a well-rested look.

    • On the morning of the photo session, be sure that you are feeling well and confident. If you will be shaving facial hair, be extra cautious to avoid nicks.

    • Relax and have fun!
